Evaluate C/C++ expressions, define functions or variables for later use, perform unit conversions, and quickly get the answer to arithmetic equations
One of the basic utilities supplied with any operating system is a desktop calculator. These are often simple utilities that are perfectly adequate for basic use. They typically include trigonometric functions, logarithms, factorials, parentheses and a memory function. Download the latest LTS version of Ubuntu, for desktop PCs and laptops. LTS stands for long-term support — which means five years, until April 2025, of free security and maintenance updates, guaranteed. Ubuntu 20.04 LTS release notes. Recommended system requirements: 2 GHz dual core processor or better; 4 GB system memory; 25 GB of free hard. Here's a modification of the appropriate part of /etc/bash.bashrc (on Ubuntu 10.04) that will modify the commandnotfound handler to run the shell's expression evaluator if the first character of the unknown command is a number or -or +. You'll be able to do any shell arithmetic this way. Download PCalc - Evaluate C/C expressions, define functions or variables for later use, perform unit conversions, and quickly get the answer to arithmetic equations. Personally, I always use Ubuntu, a famous Linux distribution, to create programs. The good news is that Free Pascal is included in Ubuntu repository as the standard Pascal compiler. Here is how I install and optimize Free Pascal in Ubuntu. Installing Compiler and IDE. Free Pascal compiler is included in Ubuntu repository as fp-compiler package.
What's new in PCalc 0.9:

Dedicated to software developers, engineers and mathematicians, PCalc is a simple tool you can use to evaluate a wide range of expressions, such C/C++ functions and variables, measurement units, and math expressions.
It doesn't require installation, so you can copy the downloaded files to a custom location on the disk and double-click the .exe to launch the utility. It doesn't make any modifications to the Windows registry and it's only necessary to delete its folder if you want to remove it from the computer.
The interface is represented by a minimalistic window that doesn't contain any special graphical elements. Instead, the program focuses on functionality, giving you the possibility to type or paste the expression whose integrity you want to check.
The downloaded package has several integrated functions identified by PCalc, which are wrapped in HTML file format. For example, the tool can delegate the type for the string:process(), array:process(), list::enumerate(), table::enumerate() and array::enumerate() methods, as well as return runtime exceptions. It has built-in classes for table, iterator, array, list, and string.

A separate folder is dedicated to modules that contain scripts to load and compile by the application, and you can set up your own customized library with mathematical functions and constants.
